ciao bella

a (mostly) true story about love and language

“what's the first thing you

notice in a woman?”

i dunno, is she wearing an eye-patch? missing a limb? i feel like i'd notice that right off. i was at Starbucks one time and a lady came in wearing a full-on gas mask. eye color? warm personality? no idea. all i could think was, how is she going to drink that? and does she know something we don't? are we in danger? something dangerous enough we need gas masks, but not so dangerous as to stop us from grabbing a cup of Pike Place before heading to the fallout shelter?

and this is why i'm single at 40.
